The dealer says he's had some crocks in the 60 gallon size as well! These big ones are incredibly heavy! The store that has these has lots of wonderful stuff, including an old western saloon backbar about 20 feet long.
those are very unusual large sizes. I think both styles were produced by the famous Red Wing pottery co. I collected the early tan hand painted ones (2-5 gal sizes) when we lived in WI in the mid-80s and still have some to this day. What was the price of the 20 and 50 gallon?

ReplyDeleteMaybe you could each hide in one, wait for the store to close, and then pop out and take all the crocks you've ever wanted!
ReplyDeleteYour seedy but brilliant suggestion came too late! We are now 300 miles beyond those crocks!
