Day 11. Traveled from Moab to Blanding, Utah today, 182 miles including a side trip to Canyonlands National Park, the needles area, full of more incredible soaring rock walls and strange mushroom like formations. We ran into lots of rain on the drive in but everything dried out as we arrived and we had no more rain. Lucky us. We hiked canyon rims and to an ancient Indian grain storage structure. We also stopped at Newspaper rock where ancient natives up to Utes a few hundred years ago etched fantastic  images into the rock. Had to stop on the road in due to cattle herded along by two cowboys on the open range. More sightseeing and hiking tomorrow on our way to Mexican Hat.
