Day 14. Arizona! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH. 10 years old.
Traveled from Mexican Hat, Utah to Page, Arizona,  150 miles. Hot and sunny through arid desert. The Navaho Reservation is free range but we only saw horses, sheep and goats. More unusual land features.
Page was created for workers to build the Glen Canyon dam that created Lake Powell. Now it caters to boat lovers and tourists. We visited the John Wesley Powell museum. He was a one armed former Civil War soldier who let the first expidition down the Colorado River from Wyoming through Utah and the Grand Canyon in wooden boats loosing 2 of 4 in the horrible rapids.
Tomorrow we will explore some locally and rest.
