The last remaining buildings of Ft Sidney: barracks, commanding officer's house and magazine. A very nice gentleman who grew up in Sidney gave us a tour of the barracks museum. 1000 soldiers were housed here at peak times, 1860s 1870s.
You might enjoy the historic Ft Wayne site and tour in Detroit. The fort walls stand and thre is a very large barracks building from a similar timeframe within the fort. A few buildings are restored like the ones in your photos.
