Day 9. Grand Junction to Moab, Utah. 142 miles. We started the day driving through Colorado National Monument with deep canyons dropping straight down from the road and amazing rock formations. At the first pull-out we saw a park ranger going through the car of 4 college age kids from California pulling out many pill containers and a bong and lining them up on the roof. He said something about going easy on them as they were cooperating with him and the driver was pleading to just pay the $120 fine. Wonder what happened to them?

We then drove to Moab by way of the Colorado River canyon at the base of spectacular 500 foot red rock cliffs. We went to the visitors center at Arches National Park before getting to our hotel. We will spend tomorrow there. Awsome day!

  1. Incredible scenery. Amazing what our country has to offer. Hope those kids are on their way and behaving as they go. :-)
