Yes, you can drive through the park on a main -- very scenic -- road but there is another road to many other attractions that is open only to shuttles. There is also a very convenient shuttle through the adjoining town that makes stops at key hotels and restaurants and goes into the Park's visitor center. The shuttles are great, very frequent, and are all free.
