Road artwork just before we crossed the Missouri River in Council Bluffs. It is as wide here as the Mississippi was at Le Claire.
We are off to North Platte, Nebraska tomorrow.

  1. We had an incredible storm last high with very high winds and sheets of driving rain. Must have gotten 2-3" in about 20 minutes. Lots of trees down. Luckily not on our property. Big drop in temp behind the front today. Walked in with a full 180 degree intense rainbow in the western sky. It lasted almost the entire walk. That's my blog from State College.

    1. Good blogging, Marc! Glad the storm didn't cause you damage but it must have been pretty exciting. That's what we've been driving through but right now it's bright and sunny here near Omaha, a first on this trip, if it lasts. It's nice that we all seem to be seeing rainbows!

  2. You got hit with what we drove through as the storm headed east. Lots of flooding along the Mississippi tributaries in Missouri and elsewhere.

  3. We've had lots of rain but no big storms. We did have a big double rainbow yesterday! It curved majestically between Ryan's Roadhouse and the liquor store on the highway. :D
