Just 25 miles today in the Cheyenne area.  Actually, about 20 of those miles were spent evading police barriers set up to protect marathon runners all over town.  In fact, we had planned to go to the Cheyenne Western Museum and were not able to get there because of the barriers!  Instead, we had a good time hiking around town, and buying two foot-longs at Subway, for both lunch and dinner later this evening.  Tuna and steak!  For a time we were walking with the marathon folks but I'm sure we were the only ones carrying two big subways.  In fact, one of the cops said WE should  get a medal!
We spent this afternoon watching an incredibly exciting PGA golf tournament on TV.  What made it incredible is that Tiger Woods put on one of the best performances of his career, winning the PGA Tour Championship!  This involved beating all the world's top golfers, even including Jason Rose, currently rated #1 in the world!  The record-breaking crowd went completely nuts and stormed the golf course.  Tiger, after multiple serious back surgeries and some craziness in his personal life is back!
By the way, speaking of sports, MSU knocked off Indiana last night, 35-21, at Indiana!  (Indiana had been 3-0 this season.)
Tomorrow we head up to Hulett WY (Devils Tower), a 320 mile trip largely on secondary roads.
Take care, all.  And...
GO GREEN!

  1. You’re lucky the marathoners didn’t snatch those sandwiches right out of your hand!

    Quite a comeback for Tiger!

Sorry the race altered your plans, but sounds like you made the best of it and still had a nice day!
