Today was 296 miles from Rolla MO to Tulsa OK.  Beautiful weather and great roads (mainly I-44).  And the landscape through the hilly northern Ozarks, with  flowering redbud and dogwood trees in abundance, was beautiful!  Temp was mid-60s with bright blue sunny skies.  Lunch was steak subs at a Subway in Joplin MO.
In Tulsa, we visited the spectacular Gilcrease Museum of Western Art, one of the finest collections in the country.  Their display of Remington, Russell and other western sculptures is unparalled.  But they also have an extensive display of Norman Rockwell art, including his prepatory photos and sketches, and magazine covers, that is tremendously interesting.  The Gilcrease is a great museum by any measure and it is situated on a high hill with wonderful views of the valley below.  The landscaping is gorgeous with flowering trees and shrubs in all directions.  You can go online to find more info about the Gilcrease if intetested.  We visited once before several years ago and wouldn't miss an opportunity to stop again.  Hey guys, take care.  Tomorrow we head to Fort Worth, Texas!  This evening we'll probably nuke a TV dinner in our room, as we did last night.
