Day 13: 92 miles from St Cloud to our hotel just east of St Paul. We followed the River Road again; not many river views but far more interesting than the interstate.
We went to the Minnesota Transportation Museum located in a former railroad roundhouse. Lots of interesting cars and a personalized tour of the machine shop and the steam locomotive they are working on. We had a late lunch at Wendy's not far from the state capitol building in a very unsavory part of town. We were happy to get out of there after having french fries and the finger thrown at us by several young kids.
Another sunny day in the upper 80s.
