Day 12: 72 miles today along the River Road from Baxter to St Cloud. We stopped at Red Wing St Park and walked through the abandoned old town of Red Wing (where missionaries came to convert the Indians and where the Mississippi River could be forded). 600 people lived there in Civil War  times but the railroad skipped the town and the town died.We also stopped at Charles Lindbergh St Park in Little Falls and saw where he grew up. The family farm was donated to the state for the park.
