Day-37.  Still in Rapid City SD although we spent most of the day back up in the gulch (i.e., Deadwood).  We took an extremely scenic backroad, with lots of winding around the rugged and very beautiful Black Hills topography.  The buffet at the Silverado Casino in Deadwood was so good today that we never even got to the prime rib counter.  Instead, we loaded up on smoked salmon and other delectables we seldom see.  We'll miss that buffet!  On the way back to Rapid City we stopped off at Fort Meade in Sturgis to look around, and then made a short visit to our dealer friends Jim and Peg Aplan in nearby Piedmont.  Tomorrow we head down to Custer State Park, known for its buffalo (bison) herd.  Several years ago at that park we got stuck in the middle of a herd that came running down a hillside onto the road, upclose and personal.  From Custer we continue on to Chadron, Nebraska where we'll spend a few nights.  More on Chadron tomorrow.
